Raw Onion

What could beat a raw onion?!
There are so many facets to the Onion.
It stinks. But people love it. It has so many layers, and it is, therefore, multi-dimensional. Just a bite of it brings an entirely new flavor to whatever you’re eating. AND, it’s after-taste lingers on, overpowering everything else, including everyone’s senses in the room.
Onions make us cry. Those tears are not shed in vain – we can always come out of the kitchen and give our spouses a scare by not revealing the reason for our tear-stained face. If an apple a day keeps the doctor away, an onion a day keeps everyone away (Source: No idea who said it, but I know WHY they did 
).
So, erm, after a lot of consideration, I hit upon this name for my blog. Well, I didn’t exactly hit upon it myself, my friends Hrish and Andy contributed. Andy, by the way, is responsible for the excellent tagline.

I am afraid to make this comment cos i see none on the comments section who dint like the title, but then jus a pinch of courage and here we go..
Not sure what to react for a put up title like this one.. I know it will not take much time for readers to get used to it and the title is not of some attention catching thing as long as the posting in the blog has got the content but then you really made it catch my attention on WHAT IS GOING TO BE THE TITLE.
To be frank, the title is not so pleasing… if not for the name alone, the caption doesnt count for the content already on the page. Not even once, i do remember that i dropped tears after i read the blog… i m a new reader tho.
Tears, reason be sorrow or joy, i got none “wrt” ur blog.
The title and caption are kool as long as they are stand alone but when the blog’s existing content is cosidered, i see no match.. is it like ur upcoming posts gonna be on the lines of what an onion can do?
.. then perfect! i’ll luk forward to it..
Well, the naming might not be a thoughtless move. So i got no hard recommendation to make her to request a change.

@Sravan – What’s in a name, buddy?! Anyway… while I agree that the caption does not match with the content of the blog, I found it really quirky and amusing; and I put it up, just for the heck of it, and just cos it makes people smile. Let’s see, the name of the blog will remain the same, and I will think about the caption. If you can find something wittier than this one, let me know

@Anurag – Funny that you should pick out just that phrase! Anyway… the one thing that will not require time to tell is whether my blog will stink or not. The day it does, it shouldn’t exist anymore

I must say miss tampa the tag line is absolutely awesome……my heartiest of congratulations to this “ANDY”….he sounds like a real dood….i think all good looking girls should befriend this “ANDY”……and an interesting fact about onions..if u rub onions under your feet after some time i believe u can taste them….something i will definitely not try…best of luck with the new name…

@Aniruddha – Yeah, the tagline was a fluke. This guy Andy is, well, an average Joe. Girls think of him as geeky and as a kid, and once or twice I’ve even overheard girls asking him which class he was in. Hehehehehe

HURRAH for that…..but Asha i am very very disappointed by the title….u say what can be more powerful than the onion..i can think of myriad of other things that are more powerful….but one that strikes my mind the most is the….sry is THE DRUMSTICK……the title could have the been THE DRUMSTICK….and tagline could have been BRING IT ON [Very apt
