About Me

I pondered for a long time as to how I should fill up this space, even requesting a couple of my friends to do the honours. I’ve however decided that it’s not something I need to worry so much about, so here goes -

Early Life – I grew up in a quaint, picturesque town that the world knows as Parlakhemundi – after a string of fights with friends, scrapes with teachers throughout my school years, and spoiled to perfection by my grandparents, I landed at Berhampur to study Information Technology. Why on earth, I have no idea. I ended up bunking every class in the entire 4-year course, much to the consternation of my parents, and crawled through the exams with barely decent marks.

Me, the professional – I got a fresh lease of life when my aunt and uncle in Hyderabad pestered my Dad to let go of the family brat; came to Hyderabad in the July of 2006, and got hired by Monster.com as a sales person (thanks, guys!). After a 2 and a half year stint, I joined Cluburb.com (again, thanks guys!) as an Editor and Writer. Now I’m employed with SocialTwist (love you guys!) as a marketing and communications person – methinks my subconscious needs client interactions as well in addition to just typing away from morning till night with writing as a profession.

Me, the person – I grew up with books, literally. I used to read Enid Blyton while my friends were busy carrying out those adventures in real life; and later on, in college, I used to read Sidney Sheldon and Jeffrey Archer while my friends were busy (no, you guessed wrong ) attending classes. Thus goes – I don’t usually take anything seriously, except with stuff that might have a huge impact on my family, or with really close people (these are really few).
